This is the chalk box that people have asked about. It comes with 150 ft. string. Made of heavy gage metal. Grommets can be replaced. If you use the chalk that I have you will get more lines per pull out. I came up with a way to snap lines with this box alone. That was my only objection to this box, you couldn't snap lines with it by yourself. It slowed me down. If you have several employees and they have know how to snap long lines and maybe someone in the middle to snap the lines these work great.

With all the New type Chalk boxes, there's lots of choices for a person working alone. I have small hands and I could never snap a line with this box and keep the string on the surface. If you have one of these boxes and are having trouble snapping alone, try tying a short piece of string from the top handle to the crank handle leaving some slack so you can slip the string off the crank. And when I used my Ammo Box I turned the box around and use the opposite side to hold the string tight on the surface. It worked but was a pain until the New Boxes came out. I does hold a lot of chalk, remember that when you pull out the string a lot of chalk does come out lke most boxes. "GOOD LUCK"
