This is the product is what we're known for. It's the perfect tool for when your laying out pavement by yourself or wanting to increase your productivity when working in pavement layout teams. It works great with the most products listed in our other catalog sections. It was designed to help when working alone. The Big Foot Layout Tool is available by itself or can be purchased with our other tools to make "Combo's" and save you cost.

The Big Foot was changed a bit in 2007 from a solid piece of steel to two   1" x 5" x 7" steel plates. This makes it a bit larger and it weighs more too. It still has rubber sole with the metal snap for attaching any item and holds it to the pavement surface. It's not painted but is covered with orange duct tape for visibility. A foam grip has been added for comfort. Extra plates can be ordered for extra weight, easy to install.

With The Big Foot you can attach a 300 ft. Pre-Marked Surveyors Tape and it will hold it tight a straight. It will allow you to snap chalk lines at least 100 ft. You can with 2- Big Foot's, use them to hold long lines, one on each end, to paint 4, 5, 6, or more, double row stall lines. I have pictures of two stripers, on riders, using 4 Big Foots, 2 long lines, painting 10 dlb. rows. (This is getting it done fast.) With a crew, one can snap lines and the other ('s) can start painting.

I've talked to stripers/layout people that have used just about everything and anything to help them work alone. And NOT ONE, that has purchased a Big Foot said that his weight was better. In fact they told me that wished that they had purchased one a lot sooner. It will increase your productivity. At lest 2 times faster for moving the weight while snapping lines alone. One point, you don't have to bend over to move it... The metal snap lets you change tools easier. And with the Cross/arm, you can have the other tools with you. Check out the the combo pictures. Maybe, just maybe, you won't leave somthing on a job site. I fix an old tool bag to fit on the Big Foot to hold extra chalk, site plans, pencil-paper, water bottle, etc., anything is better than walking back to the truck to check out site plans.

I have a layout manual that is the way I did things. Not "the way" but "my way". I've been collecting ways to do thngs for yrs. When I started in 1969 there was no way to do anything. No standards. BELIVE ME ! No stencils to buy. No books on how to paint a straight line. No book on dimensions. How to get a 60 degree angle (??). (High School Geometry..yikes!!). I've been going to the Pavement Expo's since they started and pick up something from somebody or a class every time. The manual will help and have suggestions. If you would lke a manual they come FREE with a Big Foot purchase.

Some Comments from Big Foot Owners !!!

9-22-09:I had call from a customer in Ohio and he wanted 4 Big Foot's. I asked what are you going to use 4 BF's for. He was doing a very large warehouse and need to stretch a string line 500 ft. on a sealed surface (slick). Extra weight on each end. He took Big Foot Layout Toolthe BF's apart and added an extra plate to each. Each now weighs 33 lbs. He did some layout and put a BF on each end (500 ft.).

He used a rider and moved the weights without getting off the painter.

He did 122,000 Ln. ft., in 3 days, by himself. Nice "PAY-DAY"

Hi Bill,   My name is Lloyd with Integrity Striping LLC. I have bought or ordered, well this will be my 4th Big Foot Layout Tool. You make an outstanding product !! I would like to get a couple of spools of the woven cotton string also. If you would please call me. Thanks, Lloyd

9-22-09..I had a customer call me from OHIO, he wanted 4 Big Foot's. I asked what are you going to do, to use 4 Big Foot's?? He had a very large warehouse to grid out for pallets. It was sealed and very slick and he had to stretch a string line 500 ft. So he needed 4 extra plates too. This makes each Big Foot weigh 33 lbs. After a week went by I called to see how it all worked out. He explained: He has riders for his striping machines, so by placing the Big Foot's just right he could move the Big Foot's with out getting off the riders. He did 122,000 ln.ft. in 3 days, by hinself...."NICE PAY DAY".

FROM "MO" IN CASPER WYO. I can't begin to tell you how much time I have saved since using the Big Foot. My husband was very "Skeptical" of this yesterday when we to work on a layout together, he was truly amazed. The chain ("Radius Tool") makes angle marking a breeze and I Personally love the Pre-Marked Tape, no more hunting for numbers (!!) and being able to snap lines with one person is Great.

ONE MORE :)..... FROM WOODY IN OKLA.  I just did a truck stop job: added 200 new spaces @ 65 ft. long ea. and removed 23 spaces. I did it alone in about 18 hrs. including the layout. It would not have been possible to do it without th Big Foot much less in 18 hrs.
